We do: The Ceremony, part 1

As a part of her blogger story session, Jane from Always With Yoo recently asked me and a few fellow bloggers to share our memorable moments from the wedding/wedding planning process. You can read the post here! We certainly had many memorable moments from the planning process, but now I can finally share with you about the actual day!

I unfortunately was not able to witness Louie trotting down the aisle as a ring bearer, or my super cute nieces and nephew waddling down the aisle and throwing rose petals...But I do remember the nervous and anxious feeling I felt while I was left in the bridal room alone for those few minutes. Up until then, it was so cheerful and loud in that room with my nieces banging the random keys on the piano and my bridesmaids doing last minute touch-ups and chatting along the way. Then, they were called to get in line and suddenly, it was so quiet and tranquil in that room. I took a moment to reflect on how Danny & I met and how long it took us to get to this day. It also hit me then that I will be taking on his family's last name, and that I will no longer share the same last name as my parents. I was also very thankful that our family and friends would be able to witness this special day, and was so appreciative that our company was in good health.

Then, the french doors opened and the coordinator lead me to my parents, who were waiting by the horse carriage. One of my absolutely favorite moments from our wedding was when the horse carriage took the three of us down to the ceremony area with "She's a Rainbow" by the Rolling Stones playing in the background. My mother hooked my arm on the left and my father hooked my arm on the right, and escorted me down the aisle. It was essential to me that both of my parents walked me down the aisle because they are equally very important to me :) Danny & I exchanged our rings & said our "I do's" and walked hand-in-hand, and were lifted away into the carriage as the new Mr. & Mrs. with "Walking on a Dream" by Empire of the Sun playing in the background {one of our favorite songs!}.

Danny & I are anxiously waiting for the proofs to be released to us by our photographer :) We can't wait {maybe more like "I can't wait"}!
