I love pearls because it brings an elegant and classic feel to any jewelry. Today, I'd like to show a quick "how-to" guide on making an easy pearl bracelet. If you have all the materials, it shouldn't take more than 15 to 20 minutes to create this bracelet-- you can even make them on your lunch break!
To add a modern twist, I suggest using colored pearls. My choice is burgundy, perfect for the Fall!
Materials you will need (the items listed below can be found at most crafts stores):
- 10 to 12" of beading wire (depending on your wrist size)
- Two (2) crimp tubes
- One (1) head pin
- Two (2) 4mm pearl beads (your choice of color...mine is burgundy)
- Two (2) 8mm pearl beads (your choice of color...mine is burgundy)
- Twelve (12) 12mm pearl beads (your choice of color...mine is burgundy)
- One (1) 6mm pearl beads (your choice of color...mine is white)
- Two (2) 4mm jump rings
- Rose charm
- Bead mat
- Jewelry round-nose plier
Step 1: Make a knot on one end of the beading wire.
Step 2: Use a crimp to connect one half of the toggle clasp to the end, using your jewelry round-nose plier. Thread the crimp through the beading wire that does not have a knot at the end.
Step 3: Thread one 4mm pearl bead, one 8mm pearl bead, twelve 12mm pearl beads, one 8mm pearl bead, and one 4mm pearl bead.
Step 4: Use another crimp to secure the strand to the other half of the toggle clasp.
Step 1: Thread the 6mm pearl bead through a head pin and form a loop (see helpful video here).
Step 2: With your jewelry plier, use jump rings to attach the pearl drop to the toggle.
Step 3: With your jewelry plier, use jump rings to attach the rose charm to the same toggle that you attached the pearl drop.
Voila! You are finished :) Wear it for yourself or give it to a friend.
